On 3 February 2011 the last official IPv4 address space was assigned by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority or IANA for short. A historic day! Not the end of IPv4, but this meant the countdown for the «end of life» was officially started. So anyone who wants to communicate in the future will have to deal with IPv6.
