All data received by the security specialist is processed by a sentry unit. The sentry unit is a monitoring component, which is installed on your network. It gathers data, sorts, analyses and correlates it. To do this, over 20,000 security filters and the Counterpane analysis engine are used. The processed information is subsequently forwarded to one of the secure operations centres (SOCs). «Socrates», an expert software system developed by Counterpane, combs through this information looking for suspicious content, compares your information with that of other customers and matches up symptoms with its diagnosis. If a threat is recognised, «Socrates» alarms our analysts, who look at the situation and react flexibly to the problem. If the attack was not a false alarm, you are immediately informed with detailed information about the threat and a recommendation on how to eliminate it.
